I have known the joy of composing music since the age of twelve. I believe in creating simple and elegant music for listeners and performers to share that joy.
One of my greatest joys has been the Broomfield (Colorado) Symphony Orchestra premiering two of my orchestral compositions, Symphony One, Third Movement in 2019, and In the East My Pleasure Lies in 2022. Another wonderful experience was the production of my first commercially produced CD album, Finding Solace, in 2021.
I am someone who crafts his music from profound personal experiences. My most cherished compliments from listeners have been that my music has opened their hearts and brought them joy and peace.
My main focus is composing for the piano, printed music and recorded improvisations. In addition to piano compositions, I have also written for voice, clarinet, flute, and symphonic orchestra.
When I lived in the San Francisco Bay area, I was a member of the Piano Composers Group, a rewarding opportunity to meet with fellow composers and perform regular community concerts of original piano music. I also gave a solo piano concert at the Steinway center in Walnut Creek during that time.
Since moving to Colorado in 2015, I have continued composing and performing for family and friends and as a board member of the Broomfield Symphony Orchestra, I stay involved with the local community.
When I am not composing, I enjoy photography, gardening, travel, and life with my wife Leah and our cat Sadie.
